All-on-4 vs All-on-6 — what's actually different
Both are a full-arch fixed bridge supported by implants rather than sitting on the gum like a denture. All-on-4 uses four implants per jaw, with the back two angled to reach denser bone and avoid grafting in many cases. All-on-6 spreads the same bridge over six implants, which distributes the biting load further and is often preferred for the lower jaw or where bone density allows it.
Neither is universally ‘better’ — the right choice comes from your CBCT 3D scan, not a price list. A clinic that offers only one option regardless of your bone structure is optimising for its own workflow, not your case.

How the two-visit process works
On the first trip, any remaining failing teeth are removed if needed, the implants are placed, and a fixed temporary bridge is fitted — usually within a day or two, which is where ‘teeth in a day’ comes from. You go home with fixed, functional (if provisional) teeth, not a gap.
The implants then need roughly three months to fuse with the jawbone. The second, shorter trip is for the final bridge: a precise impression or digital scan, then the permanent, more durable bridge is fitted over a handful of days.

Fixed bridge vs removable denture
A removable denture rests on the gum, can move while eating or speaking, and needs replacing every 5–8 years as the jawbone reshapes underneath it. An All-on-4/6 bridge is screwed to implants that preserve the bone, doesn't move, and is cared for like natural teeth rather than taken out at night.
The trade-off is cost and time: dentures are cheaper and faster, but most patients who can afford a fixed option and have suitable bone choose it once they understand the day-to-day difference.
