Dentritz — dental clinic in Istanbul
Planning your trip

How long do you need to stay in Turkey for dental work?

How long you stay depends on the treatment. Crowns and veneers are usually done in one trip; implants need two, spaced about three months apart. Here is what to plan for.

Typical stay by treatment

These are the usual ranges for a straightforward case. Complex work, grafting or a large number of units can add a day or two.

TreatmentTripsDays per trip
Veneers15–7 days
Zirconium / E.max crowns15–7 days
Teeth whitening11–2 days
Dental implants23–5 days, then 3–4 days
All-on-4 / All-on-625–7 days each

Why implants need two trips

On the first trip the implant is placed and, where possible, a temporary tooth is fitted. The implant then needs about three months to fuse with the bone before it can carry a permanent crown. The second trip — shorter — is for the final teeth.

Some single-tooth cases can be finished faster with immediate loading, but a two-visit plan is the reliable default and the one most guarantees are based on.

How your days are actually spent

You won’t be at the clinic every day. A crown or veneer case typically means 4–5 clinic visits across the stay, with rest days in between for the lab work and for you to see the city.

A rough veneer week looks like: day 1 scan and preparation, day 3 try-in, day 5 fitting, days 2 and 4 free.

Planning tips

Book your flights only once the clinic has confirmed your treatment dates. Leave a buffer day before your return flight in case a fitting needs an extra appointment. Avoid strenuous activity and diving for a few days after any surgery.

  • Confirm treatment dates first, then flights
  • Add one buffer day before flying home
  • For implants, pencil in the second trip ~3 months later
  • Bring a companion if you’re having surgery

Foire aux questions

Usually no. The implant needs about three months to integrate before the permanent crown. Some single cases allow immediate temporary teeth, but the final teeth come on a second, shorter visit.
